1 Asset > Multiple Businesses
How can you use one and the same asset for multiple businesses? Amazon uses ist warehouses for Amazon's products and for offers.
Assets are acquisitions or obligations that contribute to the generation of money, i.e. generate a positive cash flow. Assets are listed under assets in the balance sheet.
When and how to apply 1 Asset > Multiple Businesses:
If the same asset is used in two different businesses (or for 2 different rental properties) you can enter that asset in both properties and specify what percentage is used for business for that property and indicate that the balance is personal use.
Rental #1 enter the Asset and say it is 40% business, 60% personal
Rental #2 enter the same Asset and say it if 40% business, 60% personal
That will result in a total of 80% of the asset being depreciated and treated as a business asset.
