The Business Model of SAP
The focus of activity is the development of software to manage all of a company's business processes, including accounting, controlling, sales, purchasing, production, warehousing, transportation, and human resources. SAP used to be linked with the company's old flagship software product. SAP had around 102,430 employees worldwide by the end of 2020, with approximately 29,580 engaged in research and software development. In 2020, SAP made 27.34 billion euros in revenue. The SAP Service Marketplace is a collection of Internet-facing technologies that primarily manage SAP product support (often under a software maintenance or rental agreement) and a variety of other customer services. Using the Solution Manager, numerous support processes, particularly in upgrade and transport management, are mapped.
