The Business Model of Beyond Meat
Beyond Meat is well-known for vegan goods that taste and look like meat but are entirely composed of plant-based ingredients. Their current product line includes beef, pork, and poultry replacements. Etahn Brown, Beyond Meat's founder and CEO, quit his work as a renewable energy manager in 2009 to pursue his entrepreneurial dreams. He recognized the influence animal protein has on two of his primary concerns: human health and the environment. According to a University of Michigan study, vegan burgers really benefit the environment by using 99 percent less water and emitting 90 percent fewer greenhouse gases than animal meat. Beyond Meat's goods are available in over 28,000 retail locations in the United States and over 80 countries. Additionally, the corporation has partnerships with McDonald's, KFC, Pizza Hut, and PepsiCo. Beyond's market capitalization is estimated to be around $8.3 billion. Bill Gates, Biz Stone, the co-founder of Twitter, and Leonardo DiCaprio are among the backers.
